Description
METACONFORMER is a smart MIDI router and thru box.
The METACONFORMER has two independent MIDI inputs and four MIDI outputs. One of the outputs can be configured as a sync signal source.
Today, METACONFORMER supports three modes of processing MIDI messages:
Splitter Mode: This allows you to split the keyboard of one MIDI channel into several zones. Notes from each zone are sent to only one instrument, allowing you to play several instruments simultaneously and hear the interaction of different timbres without switching MIDI channels.
Combiner Mode: This mode lets you combine several monophonic instruments into one multitimbral polyphonic instrument. It works similarly to a polyphonic synthesizer's voice activation algorithm. Instead of voices with the same dynamics and parameters, you can play entirely different timbres, greatly expanding the possibilities for creating interesting harmonies and rhythms.
Translator Mode: This mode allows you to control sound core parameters by pressing notes. Each received note is translated into a corresponding CC message. This lets you interact with sound parameters in real time rather than simply adjusting them with knobs. It works particularly well with granular delays, resonant filters, and paraphonic oscillators.
Additional operating modes will be announced in the future.
SimplexFM
SimplexFM is a groundbreaking firmware that turns the METACONFORMER module into a 4-track digital organismic synthesizer.
SimplexFM is the pocket-sized successor to the LYRA-8 concept. Its complex and surprising sound behavior comes from the interaction of timbres rather than relying on dozens of modulators and LFOs.
