Inspired by the historic “Rex” line of instruments offered by mail order catalog in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, Jim Dandy models embody the charm and spirit of early Gretsch flat top guitars with enhanced playability and tone.
Featuring a specially designed slope shoulder body shape and a 24.75 inch scale length, the Jim Dandy Dreadnought offers a comfortable and compact form factor while maintaining the volume, projection, and bass response associated with dreadnought guitars.
The X braced body is crafted with lightweight laminate tonewoods for a balance of vintage tone and durability, while the “C” shape neck provides a comfortable playing feel. Vintage inspired details include a pinned bridge, “G” graphic pickguard, painted pinstripe purfling, 3 on a plate open gear tuning machines, and oversized dot fingerboard inlays.
Well suited for styles ranging from blues to swing, the Gretsch Jim Dandy Dreadnought is designed for a wide range of players.
