Born from decades on the road with legendary punk band MxPx, the Mike Herrera Artist Series StingRay strips a classic design down to its essentials. A single, passive humbucker delivers punchy tone and roadworthy reliability, while the control section features one functional volume knob and two nonfunctional “dummy” knobs—an adaptation of the wiring Mike has been using for years. Fitted with a matching headstock and a custom “Pokinatcha” artist graphic pickguard, the Herrera is built to deliver no-nonsense reliability on stage, at home, and anywhere in between.

A longtime StingRay player, Herrera has dialed in the bass to his exact specs. It’s road-ready and impossible to miss, with a color-matched Orange Creamsicle headstock and a white pearloid pickguard featuring the iconic MxPx “Pokinatcha” graphic.
 
Passive Electronics
Built for straightforward and reliable performance, this passive bass sports a single humbucker and one working volume knob, with two “dummy” knobs to keep that classic StingRay vibe. No battery required.
