30th Anniversary Limited Edition BASS DRIVER DI
The SansAmp Bass Driver DI has been an essential tool for players and studios almost since its introduction in 1994. To commemorate its 30th anniversary, we are releasing a limited edition with an anodized precision-machined aluminum billet housing and all-metal knobs.
This all-analog, multi-function, multi-application pedal dials up big vintage tube tones, bright modern slap sounds, gnarly distortions, and everything in between. It features three different outputs to drive power amps, recording desks, PA mixers, or to enhance your current rig. Controls include Presence for definition and upper harmonic content, Blend to combine the ratio of direct signal and SansAmp circuitry, and an active 3-band EQ with 12dB of cut or boost.
The 100% analog SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation technology covers the entire signal chain, from pre-amp to power amp to speaker simulation. An integral part of the circuitry, the individually-tailored SansAmp speaker simulation complements any type of bass speaker cabinet system.
It is rare for an electronic music product to withstand the test of time, but the SansAmp Bass Driver has been used for all styles of music, from death metal to commercial jingles, in countless studios, and on tours worldwide. Many large stage rigs are driven by a SansAmp hidden behind the backline. To this day, SansAmp remains a standard in the industry.
The controls offer a wide range of traditional bass amp sounds, including styles like Bassman and SVT, as well as crunchy overdriven sounds that would normally require multiple effects units.
PRESENCE
Controls the amount of definition and upper harmonic content.
DRIVE
Adjusts the overall gain structure and overdrive.
LEVEL
Regulates the XLR and effected 1/4" output levels.
BLEND
Allows you to mix the direct bass signal with SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry, useful for basses equipped with piezo pickups.
MID, BASS & TREBLE
Active EQ controls, specifically tuned for bass guitar, that cut or boost +/- 12dB.
MID SHIFT switch
Changes the frequency from 500 Hz to 1000 Hz.
BASS SHIFT switch
Changes the frequency from 40 Hz to 80 Hz.
BUILT-IN SPEAKER/CAB SIM
The 100% analog SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation technology covers the entire signal chain, from pre-amp to speaker simulation. It provides a smooth, even response like a multiply-miked cabinet, without the peaks and notches of single miking or many IRs. You can also place an external IR after the SansAmp for additional tone shaping.
For studio and live applications, the SansAmp Bass Driver DI offers three outputs:
- Effected XLR
- Effected 1/4"
- Parallel, uneffected 1/4"
The footswitch activates the Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry. When disengaged, the SansAmp Bass Driver DI functions as a standard active transparent direct box.
