Starting with one of the most beloved and iconic body shapes, our design team sculpted more dramatic curves for enhanced ergonomic comfort. The alder So-Cal Style 2 body also features a scalloped lower back bout and shredder's cut heel for easier upper fret access and hours of comfortable, high-performance playing.
A graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck offers rock-solid stability, even through tough road conditions and climate changes. A heel-mount truss rod adjustment thumbwheel makes quick and easy neck relief tweaks possible. Engineered for nimble, expressive playing, the So-Cal Style 2 has a speed neck profile with a hand-rubbed urethane finish on the back and a 12"-16" compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, pearloid dot inlays, and a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut. Luminlay side dots ensure visibility even on the darkest stages.
Built for exceptional performance and versatility, this guitar is equipped with multi-voiced Fishman Fluence Open Core PRF-COC pickups for dynamic tone. The bridge pickup offers quintessential hot-rodded humbucking tone (voice one) or vintage PAF humbucking tone with perfect output (voice two). The neck pickup delivers an exclusive Fluence tone with clear chime, a highly vocal midrange, and tight lows (voice one), or vintage PAF tone with just the right dynamics (voice two). A two-way mini toggle switch lets you select between these voicings, while the push/pull tone control bypasses the toggle to activate voice three—vintage single-coil tone on the neck pickup or slightly overwound single-coil tone on the bridge. The three-way blade pickup switch and volume knob provide nearly endless tonal possibilities.
Additional features include a Charvel HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge with brass saddles for endless sustain and perfect intonation, along with Charvel-branded sealed die-cast locking tuners and standard strap buttons.
